A circular was issued by the Directorate of Education dated October 27 asking schools to use the standardised registration forms and to issue them from December 15 to 31. It has also outlined the schedule that schools must adhere to during the nursery admissions process. The attempt to regularise the chaotic nursery admissions process leaves much to be desired, some parents said.
In case the school wants to adopt its own schedule, they are required to notify the DoE by December 14, failing which they will have to follow the authority’s schedule, the circular said. Some parents said their problems would have been solved somewhat had all schools distributed forms between December 15 and December 31. Chairman of National Progressive Schools Conference S L Jain said schools can adopt their own schedules. However, the NPSC schools have been advised to issue forms starting December 1. There are about 110 schools under NPSC.
Many private schools in Delhi will start issuing forms starting from Monday including Bal Bharti Pusa Road and DPS Mathura Road.
