Dizzee Eyes Oasis Collaboration

Rascal wants to work with Noel Gallagher and co, despite Jay-Z beef...

Dizzee Rascal has spoken of his desire to work with Oasis, in particular front man Noel Gallagher.

Gallagher’s controversial comments towards Jay-Z headlining Glastonbury this year didn’t go down too well in the rap world, but Dizzee feels that Noel has probably enjoyed some rap music in the past, telling BBC Radio 1:

"I don't think he hates hip-hop. Maybe he just felt a way about Jay-Z being at Glastonbury or hip-hop being at Glastonbury. He's into music,"

"There must be some hip-hop over the years that he must've liked, or Liam. They're party animals, so somewhere they must've enjoyed some hip-hop track."

When asked if he would like to work with Noel Gallagher and Oasis, Dizzee brought up his collaboration with the Arctic Monkeys and how he would relish the chance to work with the Mancs:

"Yeah [I'd still like to work with Noel]. That's another thing to me like working with the Arctic Monkeys," he said.

"Obviously they're [Oasis] older and they set their bar from earlier."
