Kelly Monaco’s Peep Show!

Additional cast and creative team have been announced for PEEPSHOW, a new modern burlesque show created and directed by Jerry Mitchell, which will play the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas starting on March 30, with an opening set for April 18, 2009.

The show will star Mel B of the Spice Girls who will play Peep Diva, and Kelly Monaco, star of ABC’s General Hospital, will play Bo Peep. Both performers also appeared on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.

In addition, Josh Strickland, who played the title role in Tarzan on Broadway, will be lead vocalist for the band, which will be directed by Susan Draus, and also feature Jackie Seiden, Cheaza, Nan Fourtier, Jennifer York, Jill Warren, and Dixie Dawkins.

Red Plum and Smart Source are two ways to save money and to receive free products. The companies can save shoppers money and time by printing most of the coupons online. Some coupons can save $1 on a box of cereal, while others might offer a buy-one get-one free option.

Most of the Red Plum and Smart Source coupons offer 50 cents off on products. However, it is free money to collect when checking out at the grocery store. It adds up quickly, especially if you're purchasing items that you use each day such as paper towels, soap, and food.

Red Plum and Smart Source offer the ultimate value. However, why some shoppers don't feel the same way about online coupons.

If you live near a grocery store that offers a buy-one get-one free option on products, that becomes a better ultimate value. Some coupons offered on Websites do make you pay a subscription to magazines in order to become a member. However, Red Plum is a bit different they search for special offers and deals which are relevant to you.

Publix weekly ads and Winn-Dixie can save you nearly 40 percent off on your grocery bill.

Publix weekly ads also bring value and save you more than online coupons. For example, when you purchase Breyers Ice Cream, you can one free with your purchase. Some coupons offer $2 off on purchases. Other buy-one-get-on-free products include bacon, sausage, cereal, orange juice, salads, and others.

Winn-Dixie is another store to which offers huge savings. For example, they give you coupons of $10 off when you purchase $50 or more. We decided to test these coupons to see what our grocery coupon savings would be.

We purchased the Starbucks coffee, since it was on-sale. We saved $3 on each bag. In addition, we noticed that we get a coupon for $1.50 on each bag of coffee. The coffee was already on sale, so this was a "power saving" for sure. Most of the products we bought were for our office, and mostly buy-one get-one free items.

We spent more than $50. After providing all the coupons and subtracting the savings, we paid $33 total. That's about 40 percent savings!

If you don't have a Publix or a Winn-Dixie near you, always check the weekly ads from your local grocery store. You can get the same amount of savings. It depends where you shop.

You can pick up those weekly ads by stopping at the store on the way home. Take it with you and you will probably find better deals than printing coupons from Red Plum or Smart Source. It depends on the product, but you will always save more with store specials.

David Spade American Idol 8 (Gum Stick to Chair Video??)

David Spade was caught on video on American Idol while he was behind Randy Jackson taking the gum out of his mouth and allegedly placing it or sticking it under his seat. I saw David Spade took the bubble gum out of his mouth but am not sure if he did stick it under the chair. Maybe the best way to find out is take a look at the seat he was sitting on and see if there's a gum under it..hehehe.

April Fool's Day history: Does your family have a tradition of pranks?

April Fool's Day has been around since the 16th century, when the pope changed New Year's Day from April 1 to January 1.

Some people weren't aware of the change, and those who had the inside dope thought it would be fun to send them on "fool's errands'' and play pranks.

This doesn't always work so well with children. This morning, my kids didn't realize it was April Fool's day, and when my husband announced, "You have a delayed opening today because of a power outtage at school,'' they were thrilled. When he shouted "April Fool!'' my six-year-old son burst into tears and ran upstairs.

I had to convince him that daddy didn't mean to upset him, that it was a day to play jokes.

Then I warned him that he needed to be suspicious today--since people like to mess with your head on April Fool's Day. But the only thing that cheered him up was the empowering knowledge that he could play pranks, too, and that he should retaliate against dad.

First he ambushed my husband with a tickling attack, then he announced that it was ten degrees outside. When my husband pretended to fall for it, Nate felt much better.

They had no plans to play tricks on teachers, and neither did any of their friends. Last year, I wrote a post about how kids don't seem to celebrate April Fool's Day in school anymore. I remember how that was a big deal when I was a child, and I hope it makes a comeback.

As long as the jokes aren't malicious, April Fool's Day is a worthy tradition that celebrates chaos, confusion, trickery and laughter. We have plenty of the first two in our lives, but we could always use some of the latter.

It's good to be a local news anchor in NYC in the sense that you very well might make a multimillion-dollar salary. But it's bad because you would be getting laid off. Adios, Len Berman.

Monday we heard that WNBC's Chuck Scarborough and KNBC's Paul Moyer, the Kent Brockman and Ron Burgundy of New York, were both potential buyout targets. And now loooooooongtime WNBC sports guy Len Berman—the guy who shows the bloopers!—is getting bought out:

Len Berman, a New York television sports fixture since 1979, including for the past nearly quarter century at WNBC-TV, will leave the station sometime in the next 30 to 60 days.

The station and Berman, 61, had been discussing for months a settlement of his contract - believed to be the most lucrative among his anchor peers with an annual salary one TV industry source estimated at $1 million.

He says he's ready for the "next phase" in his career or something, which presumably involves sitting in a rocking chair counting the staggering pile of money that he was paid over the course of his career, for some reason. You were good at what you did, Len, but it's a new era now. The only media people who deserve that kind of money these days are bloggers.
