Inter-University TT

Beating Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhatisgarh 3-2 in the semi-final at Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, Jharkhand, the Manipur University women's team has qualified for the final league round and the All India Inter Zonal Inter University Table Tennis (M&W) Tournament 2008-09 scheduled to be played at the same venue.

However, the Manipur University men's team has failed to qualify for the All India Inter Zonal Inter Universty TT (M&W) as they lost to Calcutta University 3-0 .

This is despite beating APS Rewa, Madhya Pradesh (3-0), Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh (3-0) and Tejpur University, Assam (3-1).
