SALEM, N.H. (AP) - Police in Salem (New Hampshire) have arrested a man and a woman on charges of manufacturing false prescriptions for the drug Percocet.
Forty-8-year-old Darlene Donovan and 43-year-old William Boda, both of Boxford, Massachusetts, were arrested in a Salem motel on Tuesday on multiple felony counts.
Police say during the arrests, they found 45 fraudulent prescriptions for the drug. They say it appears the suspects were using a computer and copying stores to make the prescriptions.
The investigation began last month when the Salem Police responded to a Wal-mart pharmacy for a report of possible fraudulent prescriptions. Ten prescriptions were received for 720 pills during a four-month period.
It was discovered that the suspects were under investigation in Massachusetts, too.
