CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Police in Casper arrested a man they say pointed a shotgun at officers who had entered his apartment.
Police Capt. Chris Walsh says police had been investigating a bullet that was fired at an apartment complex early Wednesday. Walsh says police traced the path of the bullet to the apartment of Richard Winsted.
Walsh says police knocked on the door, then used a master key. Inside the apartment, police allegedly found Winsted crouched behind a table with a shotgun.
Police left the apartment and set up a perimeter. According to Walsh, Winsted surrendered more than an hour later after speaking by phone with a police negotiator.
No one was hurt.
