Catawba County Schools peanut butter not included in recall

Parents concerned about the recent news of recalled peanut butter and peanut butter related products due to a Salmonella outbreak can rest assured that Catawba County Schools Child Nutrition Department purchases are NOT a part of these recalls.

"We receive USDA commodity peanut butter which is not involved in this outbreak; nor is the peanut butter we purchase from our supplier US Foodservice Fort Mill," said Child Nutrition Director Karen Duncan. Duncan also added that the department does not purchase any peanut butter crackers for the school cafeterias.
