Cole Porter comes to the senior center

Tewksbury - Andover Community Theater (ACT) is currently working on its third production “Cole Porter: What a Swell Party This Is,” which will be performed at the Tewksbury Senior Center.

The production is under the direction of Marie Diciaccio, a 54-year resident of Tewksbury and an active member of St. Williams Parish in Tewksbury. Diciaccio has been an avid performer in theater for many years with such venues as “Paint and Powder,” “Play by Players,” “Actors Inc.” She has also tap danced with the Barbara Seibert School of Dance for several years. With this show, she makes her directorial debut.

Prepare to be dazzled with a de-lovely evening of song and dance celebrating the broad scope of music that is Cole Porter. The performance gives a historic look at the life and music of Cole Porter and includes well known numbers such as “De-Lovely,” “You’re the Top,” “Anything Goes,” “Wunderbar,” “I Love Paris,” and many more.

The show dates are Friday Feb. 27, Saturday Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee on March 1 at 2 p.m. It will be held at the Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler St. Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for seniors/students.
