Fresh in our inbox from your favorite Olympic ticket vendor, CoSport, is a note that remaining tickets from the (meager) U.S. allotment will be made available online starting next Thursday (Feb. 5). This is the promised second round for those who made ticket requests in the first round and registered on CoSport’s Web site.
You will note a couple things right off the bat:
1) There’s no indication of how many tickets remain. Could be 10,000. Could be 10.
2) There’s no actual start time for the sale. Just go online at 7 a.m. PT on Feb. 5 and await further directions. They will get to it at some point.
Good luck.
Keep this high level of customer service in mind the next time you get a donations solicitation in the mail from the U.S. Olympic Committee, which hires CoSport to handle ticketing on its behalf. And if you have a problem with the U.S. ticketing process, or have questions or comments about the arrangement for the exclusive U.S. ticketing agency, we suggest directing them to:
Larry Probst, Chairman, Board of Directors
United States Olympic Committee
One Olympic Plaza
Colorado Springs, CO 80909-5760
Tel: (719) 632-5551
Also, here is a fill-in-the-blank comment form from the USOC’s Web site.
Here’s the CoSport e-mail (emphasis mine):
——
