No, she is not facing any problems at home; it’s just that she has been all around the world, travelling. “I have been travelling like a maniac.

Also, my new show will start in January,” she shares with a lot of excitement. There is one thing that she has especially got incorporated in the contract of the show. “I need to have a Hindi diction teacher. That’s because I want this show to be absolutely perfect. We all speak such colloquial Mumbaiya Hindi, which – I feel – needs to be corrected.”
Malaika did a cameo in Om Shanti Om along with hubby Arbaaz Khan and sister Amrita Arora. “Oh, that was one big party. We all had so much fun during the shooting!” But what is going to be even more fun, she feels, is a complete three-hour movie.
“Yes, I am meaning to sign one. I have got some very interesting scripts in hand. I feel that as my son is a bit grown up now, I can take out time to shoot for a movie,” she says.
When Malaika shared this news of taking the plunge into acting with Arbaaz and Amrita, she got two different reactions. “Amu was like, ‘Ya man go ahead!’ and Arbaaz thought for a while and said, ‘You could but I need to get the feel and stuff!’ He was acting like my big daddy,” she laughs. So what sort of movie would we see Malaika do? “A movie that keeps me close to my family and does not make me travel so much that I have to change my mind about acting!”
That’s because there is another demanding man in her life. “That’s my bundle of joy, Arhaan. Earlier he wanted a brother to play with and now he wants a little sister to protect and take care of. So I have to think about that too.”
