Sunita Williams meets Gujarat CM

Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams finally shared the dais with Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi at a programme organised by the Gujarat university on Saturday.

Modi felicitated Sunita giving her a memento from the university.

Politics was played out as a run up to her visit with BJP accusing the Congress of hijacking her itinerary while the opposition had accused Modi of ignoring her since she was related to Haren Pandya.

By organising the felicitation programme for Sunita, Modi government tried to come clean on the issue.
