Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is keen to sign unsettled Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
The Ivory Coast international reiterated his desire to leave Stamford Bridge last week only to then issue a statement confirming he would not discuss his future again until the end of the season.
Drogba has been unsettled by Jose Mourinho's departure from Chelsea last month and Aulas would be delighted to tempt the former Marseille star back to France.
"Everything is possible in football," Aulas told Aujourd'hui en France.
"Didier Drogba is an exceptional footballer who loves France.
"We had an asset [to make him come] here, Florent Malouda, who was playing for us.
"Unfortunately he has left for Chelsea. If we had to sign both of them, it is maybe beyond our means."
Drogba, who scored in Saturday's victory at Middlesbrough, has scored 68 goals in 150 appearances for Chelsea since arriving in London from Marseille in the summer of 2004.
