“After a complete review of the investigation done by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department...there is insufficient evidence to prove this case to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt,” E!News quoted from Garrison’s statement. Brosnan could have possibly been infringed with a battery charge for allegedly throwing photographer Robert Rosen outside a Mexican hotel.
The incident took place on October 26 about 6:15 pm as Rosen confronted the 54-year-old actor and his young son at the entrance of the Malibu eatery Casa Escobar.
The shutterbug, identified by TMZ as an employee of celebrity photo agency Ability Films, said he approached Brosnan and complimented him on his run as 007.
He claimed to have been cursed out and punched in the ribs by the start.
According to the eyewitnesses, Rosen retaliated with a kick to Brosnan’s midsection and fled the scene. Rosen filed a report with the Sheriff’s Department, which investigated and presented its findings to the LA County District Attorney’s Office, which ultimately decided whether or not to bring criminal charges.
However Brosnan’s representative refused to comment on the incident. Rosen was also unavailable. The Irish actor’s current projects include Butterfly On A Wheel, The Thomas Crown Affair 2 and Mamma Mia !
