SMS project on free HIV test

BANGALORE: If you get an SMS reading “free, confidential and reliable HIV test at ICTC’’, do not hesitate to do so by walking in to your nearest government hospital.

It is a part of the three-phase National AIDS Control Program undertaken by the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) in India to check the country’s increasing number of HIV-positive cases.

Integrated counselling and testing centres (ICTC) have been put up at various government hospitals offices, where volunteers will counsel people found HIV positive.
