NEW DELHI: Police have arrested three alleged drug peddlers, including a mother of seven children, with about two kg of heroin in separate cases in the capital.
Khairun Nisha, hailing from Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested on Monday from near Wazirabad in east Delhi, following a tip-off that she would be coming to the area to sell it to an unidentified man, a senior police official said.
Two hundred gram of heroin was recovered from her, he said, adding that Nisha and her husband Javed were arrested earlier on drug peddling charges.
In another case, one Mohammed Khadir, who hails from Barabanki district in UP, was arrested on Sunday from near Karkardooma courts in east Delhi where he had gone to allegedly deliver 1.5 kg of the contraband.
In the third case, 28-year-old Raisuddin was arrested from near Khanpur in south Delhi on Saturday along with 225 gm of heroin.
Separate cases under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotrophic Substances Act were registered against them, the official added.
