Black Eyed Peas for Genting date

KUALA LUMPUR: The Black Eyed Peas will be back performing in Malaysia later this month on the Asian leg of their Black, Blue & You world tour.

They will perform at The Arena of Stars venue in Genting Highlands on Oct 26, a newly added date on their tour that will also take them to India, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and China.

Resorts World Bhd promotions and entertainment department senior vice-president Ng Kheng Leong confirmed their Genting itinerary.

He said: “The energetic quartet is one of the biggest hip-hop groups with more than 7.5 million albums sold worldwide.”

The Grammy Award winning group comprising Will.I.Am, Fergie, Taboo and Apl.De.Ap last appeared in The Force of Nature Concert in Malaysia in 2005.

Since their 2003 breakout album Elephunk, The Black Eyed Peas has grown to become an international pop success with their hybrid of pop, dance and hip-hop.

In 2005, they released Monkey Business, and this year saw two of the group members – Fergie and Will.I.Am – release solo albums, titled The Duchess and Songs About Girls respectively.

Tickets for the group’s show in Genting’s Arena Of Stars are priced at RM550 (VIP), RM420 (Price scale 1), RM320 (Price scale 2), RM220 (Price scale 3) and RM120 (Price scale 4). There will be an early bird promotion offering a 15% discount off ticket prices.
