PARIS (AFP) - French internet users aged between 12 and 24 are Europe's keenest bloggers, according to a study by Forrester marketing consultancy.
Swedish youngsters out-paced all others in terms of daily internet use, with 88 percent in the 12 to 24 year age bracket consulting the web every day compared to an average 79 percent in the seven European countries researched in the third quarter this year.
The study showed that 72 percent of 12-24 year-olds in France consulted blogs at least once a month and sent in comments at least once monthly.
Reading blogs was the second top usage of the web in France, after sending e-mails (89 percent) and searching for information (55 percent, including 40 percent on reference sites such as Wikipedia).
Italy came close behind France for clicking on to blogs at 68 percent, followed by 54 in Spain, 52 percent in Sweden, 43 percent in Britain and 33 percent in Germany and The Netherlands.
