Soumili has her hands full

Actor Soumli Biswas believes in doing quality work.

Apart from the megaserial Uttaran where she plays the role of a journo, the actor also has two big screen ventures in her kitty. Quiz her on these lines and she says, “Currently I’m doing Jayanta Basu’s film called Smriti Shudhu Bedona and an untitled venture directed by Haranath Chakraborty.” The story of Smriti Shudhu Bedona deals with the theme of reincarnation.

The story revolves around a boy who is a talented young artist. The twist in the tale comes when he goes for an outing to the hills and is reminded of some incidents from his past life. The film also stars Soumitro Chatterjee, newcomer Minojit, Sanghamitra Banerjee and Mrinal Mukherjee. While the first one is about reincarnation, her second film revolves around a brother-sister
relationship and the struggle they have to go through.

Though acting is her passion but her first love remains dancing. “I love dancing and do a lot of shows round the year. But you will never find any vulgar movements in any of my performances,” the actor
concludes.
