‘Heart’ is a hard rock band whose founding members are sisters, Ann and Nancy Wilson, from Seattle, Washington. The group rose to fame in the 70’s and 80’s with their music being influenced by hard rock as well as folk music. By the mid-1990’s, Heart went back to their hard rock roots which they continue to play today. They have sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

One of their most famous hits ‘Barracuda’ was used for a brief time this summer during the Presidential campaign for Sarah Palin, who’s nickname is ‘Barracuda.’ Ann and Nancy Wilson were not happy about their music being used for the campaign. By the way, Fergie has a terrific version of ‘Barracuda’ as well that is pretty faithful to the classic by Heart.

Heart was ranked #57 on VH1’s ‘100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock’.
