Head to Les Gets this winter for a ski holiday for all the family! Just a one hour transfer from Geneva, Les Gets in the French Alps sets the perfect scene for a family getaway with tree-lined streets blanketed in snow, mountains towering above and the historic, quaint village. A proud member of the Famille Plus label, Les Gets caters for all ages so getting your children out on the slopes has never been easier. From tiny tots too young to ski but who still want to enjoy the snow to adventurous souls eager to get on the skis, Les Gets offers an array of activities both on and off the mountain.

Les Fripouilles, ages 6 months - 4 years
For tiny tots too young for skiing, Les Fripouilles is a nursery which provides indoor activities such as drawing, painting and reading all supervised by qualified staff. It is based in the Maison des Gets which allows children to discover the joys of snow in their own little garden. Les Fripouilles is open from 9am to 5pm, prices are as follows:

1/2 day + garderie during lunch time: 33 €- Full day: 41 € - 6 x 1/2 day + 6 lunch
time garderie: 165 € - 6 x Full day : 220 €
Lunch at 6 € is not included in the price.

Le Jardin des Neiges
Essentially a play area for the earliest beginners, Le Jardin D’Enfants allows children to familiarise themselves with the nature of snow and skis. The area is under the close supervision of qualified E.S.F (Ecole du Ski Francais) instructors and offers fun games and activities on the snow, both with skis and without.

Le Club des P’tits Montagnys, ages 3-12 years
Le Club des P’tits Montagnys is aimed at very young children who are just starting to familiarise themselves with the alpine environment. The program runs both ski and non-ski based activities such as sledding, snow games, walks and indoor activities. Half days and full days are available with a meal at lunch.

Children from 3 to 12 years old - With Ski Lessons
6 x 1/2 days without lunch : 134 €
6 x 1/2 days with lunch : 247 €
6 days without lunch : 225 €
6 days with lunch : 338 €
Children from 4 to 12 years old - Without Ski Lessons
6 x 1/2 days, without lunch : 114 €

Le Grand Cry
Les Gets also boasts Le Grand Cry area which offers an authentic Indian village complete with Tipi's, decorations and face painting. As you ski down the slope weave in between totem poles, animals and cowboys as music plays all the while. This little corner of fun is for children between the ages of 5 and 12; and for those daring youngsters there is a mini boarder cross complete with small jumps, bumps and steep, banking turns!

The Mauve Milka
The Mauve Milka slope also offers fun for your youngsters. Situated on the ‘Gentiane’ slope which runs all the way into the village; La Piste Mauve Milka® doubles up as an educational introduction to the alpine environment. Animals and features made from wood help children recognise the indigenous animals, flora and fauna of the area.

Après Ski
If a days skiing hasn’t worn the young ones out, Les Gets has a plethora of activities which will certainly put them to bed! New to Les Gets this winter is its dog sledding program, where children (10 years and over) and adults can find out what it feels like to be a real dog musher! Get to grips with the oldest form of alpine transport whilst taking in some amazing scenery. Learn how to ‘mush’ the dogs or simply enjoy a ride as a family. From short treks to lessons, Les Gets offers a great opportunity learn about this ancient art. Prices as follows:

Family trek (2 adults & one child): 1/2 hour 35€
Beginner dog mushing lessons (max. 4 pers.): 1/2 hour 35€
Dog-sleigh driving lesson and trek (up to 4 people simultaneaously): half-day 85€
