Dec. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Australia reduced South Africa to 27-1 at lunch on day two of the series-opening cricket Test in Perth after making 375 in its first innings.
South Africa lost opener Neil McKenzie for two, leaving captain Graeme Smith and Hashim Amla as the not out batsmen.
Resuming at 341-9, Jason Krejza and Peter Siddle earlier added 34 runs for Australia’s last wicket before Siddle was dismissed by Makhaya Ntini for 23.
Simon Katich top scored with 83 yesterday and Michael Clarke made 62. Ntini finished as South Africa’s best bowler, taking 4-72.
