Spice Girls snubbed by Danish band

The world is abuzz with excitement that the Spice Girls will soon be setting out on their world tour, but one band not impressed by them is Danish pop band Alphabeat.

The band members made their feelings clear when they turned down the chance to be the Spice Girls’ support band for the UK leg of their tour.

“They’re not the biggest admirers of the girls. It’s not really how they want to launch in the UK,” a newspaper quoted a source as saying. “I don’t know if this was what pushed the girls’ team over the edge but they have decided not to have a support act,” the source adds. Alphabeat are big in Denmark and are set for their first full single release in the UK early next year.

Meanwhile, Mel B has danced her way into the finals of a dance reality show, the night after scoring two perfect marks in the penultimate performance.
