Pasadena Marathon To Start On Sunday

Over 8,000 runners, walkers and cyclists will converge on Sunday morning to compete in the Pasadena marathon, half marathon, bike tour, 5K and fun run/walk.

The full and half marathon will start at 6:30 a.m. in Pasadena, CA.

Elite runners should complete the full marathon in approximately 2.5 hours with elite half-marathoners should finish the race in just over an hour. The bulk of the marathon finishers should have completed the race by noon.

The start/finish line is located directly in front of Pasadena City College on Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena.

Pasadena Marathon Traffic Impact

Traffic impacts within the City of Pasadena should be expected on March 22, 2009, due to the Pasadena Marathon presented by Kaiser Permanente. The table below features race-day street closures along with the timeframes during which these areas will be impacted. Note that all course re-open times are approximate and based upon a Bike Tour start time of 6:00 a.m., a Marathon and Half Marathon start time of 6:30 a.m., and a 5K and Fun Run/Walk start time of 6:50a.m.
