FARGO, N.D. (AP) The National Weather Service says the flooding outlook for the Red River at Fargo, N.D., may be improving. However, a winter storm is expected to hit the region in the coming days and the chance remains that the river could rise.

BILOXI, Miss. (AP) Spring storms are bringing heavy rains, baseball-size hail and blizzard conditions to different parts of the country. Across the Southeast, communities are dealing with flooded roads and tornado warnings. In the Southern Plains, it's snow, with parts of Kansas reporting drifts up to six feet high.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) Clouds and wind have forced NASA to send the shuttle Discovery back around the globe. Mission Control ordered the seven astronauts to skip their first landing opportunity, but they'll have one more chance to touch down this afternoon if conditions improve. Tomorrow's forecast looks worse, with a cold front expected to bring thunderstorms to the Florida spaceport.

LONDON (AP) Police estimate some 35,000 demonstrators are packing the streets of central London today. They are marching to demand jobs, economic justice and environmental accountability ahead of next week's G20 summit.
