Aishwarya as Mumtaz?

Sir Ben Kingsley’s movie on the Taj is not the only movie where Ash is going to play Mumtaz.

Couple of years before she became Mrs Bachchan, she had a similar offer – to play Mumtaz in an international project to be directed by Bharatbala and Kanika of Vande Mataram fame.

And it was rumoured that Shah Rukh Khan was going to play Shah Jahan. But since we haven’t heard anything further about it, we wonder what happened to the project...
