Mirror.co.uk reports that the proceeds from the single are to go to charity but it has only sold 5,278 copies though it has been available for quite some time now.
The band’s comeback was hyped and included a performance at the Victoria’s Secrets fashion show in London. In spite of all this, there has been less then tepid enthusiasm for the single.
A source said, “There has been a tremendous buzz about the Spice Girls’ return, but sales for both their Greatest Hits’ album and the single have not matched the hype. The fact that Headlines is for charity should have helped boost its performance but that hasn’t happened.”
