THE MUCH-AWAITED draw of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Housing Scheme 2008, will be conducted today (December 16). The DDA flats result will decide the fate of 5,60,000 families who have applied for 5,010 flats in several posh colonies of Delhi.
The houses range from Rs 7 to 77 lakh, making these 50 per cent cheaper than the market rates. The flats are being considered priceless and thus to avoid any controversy, the lottery is being supervised by IIT teachers.
Neemo Dhar, DDA spokesperson said that the lottery is 100 per cent transparent. “The draw is totally computerised; all the application numbers and flat numbers have been fed and both the lists would be randomised by the computer. The cut off will be drawn by the judges and the computer will declare all the results,” she informed.
The authority will upload the list of allottees at its website by 3 pm.
The list will also appear in all national newspapers on Wednesday (December 17).
DDA will handover the house keys to winners within two months and will refund the registration fees to unsuccessful participants by the end of December.
The flats offered in the scheme are situated in several most-wanted colonies like Rohini, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Paschim Vihar, Pitampura, Motia Khan, Dilshad Garden, Narela, Shalimar Bagh, Jhilmil, East of Loni Road, Nand Nagari, Peeragarhi, Sarai Khalil, Lok Nayak Puram, Bindapur and Zafrabad.
