Jerry Jones came very close to hiring Norv Turner before giving Wade Phillips his gig. In hindsight, it's clear that Jerry should have had co-head coaches, letting Wade handle September through November before handing the headset to Norv.
Turner's tenure in San Diego hasn't been smooth sailing, but his Chargers peak down the stretch, which happens to be when the Cowboys fall apart.
After tonight's thrilling OT win over the Colts, San Diego is 12-1 in December and January the last two seasons, including 3-1 in playoff games. The Cowboys are 3-6 in December and January under Phillips, including a home playoff loss as the NFC's top seed.
