New Delhi: A 21-year-old call centre employee protesting a molestation attempt was stabbed several times by some men at a bus stop in west Delhi on Tuesday evening.
The attackers first tried to molest the girl, Nisha, who was waiting for a bus at the Peeragarhi bus stop.
When she protested, the assailants stabbed her in the stomach and chest with a sharp knife. They fled after robbing her gold chain, a pair of earrings and cash.
She was rushed to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. Her condition is stated to be
critical.
Nisha, a resident of outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri area, works as a telephone attendant.
“A case has been registered and we have dispatched teams to arrest the assailants,” a police official said Neha was not in a a position to make a statement.
