Aizawl (PTI): Members of Mizoram assembly's Subject Committee, who returned here after visiting Israel said that the state government must have closer ties with Israel to develop the state economy and uplift the conditions of the farmers and the youths.
Talking to the press here, the legislator team leader Liansuama said that they had discussion with Chief Minister, Zoramthanga and urged him to find ways to have better relation with Israel and also suggested that he shoukd visit Israel.
"The chief minister called up Israeli Ambassadir to India and took up the matter of closer relationship with the lattler's government," Liansuama said.
The state legislature's Subjet Committee is drafting a report in which all departments would be given specific tasks to have close relationship with Israel in their own fields of working, he said.
He also said that closer ties with Israel would also provide wide-ranging opportunity for youths to find jobs in that country.
