Spaniards Evacuated From Mumbai On Air Force Plane - Government

MADRID (AFP)--Sixty Spanish citizens who were in Mumbai when the attacks erupted in the Indian city were expected back in Madrid Friday on a Spanish air force plane, a government source said.
The Airbus was due to land at the Torrejon de Ardoz military base outside Madrid at around 3:15 pm (1415 GMT), the source said.
Other Spaniards who were unable to board the plane will travel on another aircraft chartered by France, which holds the presidency of the European Union, to evacuate E.U. members.
The source added that two Spanish businessmen who were trapped in the Oberoi/Trident hotel when the shooting erupted were released Friday.
At least 93 people, most of them foreigners, were freed Friday from the Oberoi/Trident more than 36 hours after armed militants seized the building, Indian police said.
At least 130 people were killed and around 300 wounded after Islamic militants targeted around a dozen sites in India's financial center on Wednesday night.
