State-owned Air India and the country's largest-private sector airline, Jet Airways operated their flights as per schedule. However, Spice jet cancelled the flights to Mumbai and decided to refund for the cancellation of flights. Vijay Mallya's Kingfisher Airlines would reschedule the flights and club some routes on the Delhi-Mumbai, Bangalore-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Mumbai and Nashik-Mumbai sectors. The chairman of Kingfisher airline, Mr. Mallya said that safety and security of customers are most important for the airline. The airline would do its best to strictly follow the security norms.
Industry experts feel, decline in number of tourists, as various countries are giving advisories to their nationals for cutting tour to India. Some foreign airlines, including German based Lufthansa has cancelled two of its flights to Mumbai on Thursday following fear of more terror activities.
