Age (As on 30.09.2008)
Minimum age : 21 years

Maximum age
General : 28 year, SC/ST : 33 years, OBC : 31 years, ECO/SSRCO : 33 years

Physically Handicapped - General : 40 years, SC/ST : 45 years, OBC : 43 years

Resident of Assam State during the period from
01.01.1980 to 15.08.1985 : 36 years

For confirmed employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies, the age limit will be relaxed by 5 years for respective categories.

Emoluments
Basic pay of Rs.11,110/- in the scale of Rs.11,110-540(14)-18,670-560(4)-20910 and other admissible allowances as applicable. Total emoluments will be about Rs.17,300/-(approx.) in Metropolitan Centres.

Selection Procedure
Candidates will be called for written examination to be held on 21 December 2008

(Rs.100/- for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates), which is inclusive of the examination fee. No Examination Fee is required for confirmed employees of The Oriental Ins. Co.Ltd.
Application form should be purchased from the Company’s sale counters only. Application form taken from unauthorized sources shall be rejected. Applications submitted in any other format will not be accepted and summarily rejected.

The candidates should not attach any document/certificate with the application form. They
must satisfy themselves that they conform to the minimum laid down eligibility criteria before submission of the Application Form.
