NAGARJUNA NAGAR: Preparations are on full swing to make Telugu Desam Party’s proposed Yuva Garjana to be held on November 5 at Nagarjuna Nagar a grand success.
The sky and land have turned yellow with party flags, banners, lights and fire crackers, according to the organisers.
Politburo member Alladi Rajkumar, party secretary Maganti Gopinath and Telugu Yuvatha state general secretary Ch Madhava Reddy, who are looking after the arrangements, said that Yuva Garjana would break the record of Simha Garjana held in 1994.
Over 15 workers who are experts in creating film settings were busy in preparing the dais with backdrop of ‘bull horns’ resembling ‘Palnati Pourusham’ (angry young man of Palnadu) and two lions on both sides of the dais.
The 150-acre site opposite Acharya Nagarjuna university has been spruced up for the event. The organisers are setting up digital lighting and arranging sound system along the national highway on both Vijayawada and Guntur sides for the convenience of people, if they fail to reach the overcrowded ground.
Polit buro member Yenamala Ramakrishnudu said that the Yuva Garjana would remain a unique event. He said 26 doves would be released from the dais as a mark of the party entering into 26 year. All the ten lakh youth who are expected to attend the meeting would be given yellow flags and would be asked to take the party oath.
He said two mini flights would shower flowers at the meeting ground and the third flight would carry the videographers to cover the entire event. In addition helicopters would be pressed into service to the cover the two-wheeler rally consisting of one lakh vehicles from various districts. The TDP is ahead of formulating policies and it would provide 40 per cent reservation to youth in the coming elections, he added.TDP leaders Kala Venkata Rao, Katragadda Babu and others inspected the arrangements of Yuva Garjana on Monday.
