I love Gujarati food:John

Sexy, down-to-earth, level-headed and dashing, that’s John Abraham for you in real life.

On a whistle-stop tour to Ahmedabad, Bollywood heartbreaker John caused a mini stampede of sorts as several nubile nymphets and flashbulb popping lensmen surrounded him. Unlike a lot of his contemporaries, John didn’t seem to mind the attention at all and waved cheerfully at the assembled crowd during the opening of a new multiplex in Gandhinagar.

He even spoke a few lines in Gujarati and said as a foodie, he loved the “the concept of a Gujarati thali — it has the right mix of everything from starters to main course, side dish and dessert and I love it because there’s so much to choose from.”

John’s newly cropped mane might have been done to fit in to the role of Sunny in Dhan Dhana Dhan... Goal, but he insists everyone “likes the new look” as much as his tousled long locks.

John who’s working on Nagesh Kukunoor’s Aashayein, Deepa Mehta’s Luna and Exclusion, a film with Sriram Raghavan, Karan Johar and UTV, is not averse to doing international films at all. For John what matters most is to “do what the audience loves to see. I want to cater to different type of audience and I hope they enjoy every performance of mine. I just want to keep entertaining people.”

Any plans of marriage? John confesses that he hopes to get married after Goal 3 hits the screens (there are no plans, of a sequel that we know of!)”. And what’s his relationship with the sizzling Bipasha Basu like? “Mercurial,” laughs John.
Okay, girls, hope you heard that one!
