Taylor County fugitive found in New Mexico

GRAFTON — Kenneth Mikolon, a Taylor County man wanted on sex charges, was found by U.S. Marshals Tuesday in New Mexico, WBOY reported.

Mikolon was found at a campground near Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Enforcement officials also discovered an assault rifle, a shot gun, four pistols and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in Mikolon's vehicle upon searching.

The news station reported that Mikolon is being held at the Dona Ana County Jail in Las Cruces, New Mexico and is awaiting extradition back to West Virginia.

Mikolon failed to show up at his trial in Taylor County last month after being charged with 17 counts of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian and has been wanted since.
