Tippi - Real life Mowgli

I saw these photos a couple of years ago, and I think they’re just amazing. The little girl is Tippi Degré who was born in the wilds of Namibia in 1990 to her parents who were wildlife photographers. She was born and raised almost completely in the wild and grew up running free with elephants, lions and ostriches and her parents took some amazing photographs of her with them.

Her parents must have been either very brave or very foolhardy to let her play with such dangerous animals like that, but I love the idea of her playing with the animals in the wild like this and her parents said she only got hurt twice, once when she was bitten on the nose by a meercat and once when a baboon pulled out handfuls of her hair.

She now has a book coming out called Tippi: My Book Of Africa and more of her pictures can be found here.
